Dunhill and O’Brien

ダンヒル & オブライエン / Dunhill and O’Brien

Dunhill and O’Brien have been working collaboratively since 1998. They have participated in exhibitions, residencies and projects in the UK, Ireland, Holland, Italy, Germany and Japan.
Rooted in the traditions of sculpture, their work is concerned with the procedures and problematics of collaboration. Their aspiration, to make work together ‘unencumbered by individual taste’, has led to a range of approaches involving elaborate processes, apparatus and performative research activities.
A recent publication, In This Point of View, presents projects initiated during residencies in Japan, including ‘Rockery’ an installation shown at White Conduits Projects, London, 2016, that focused on the phenomena of Fujizuka and the artists continuing series of video performance works, Stone Appreciation.
