【Off campus Exhibition】
Kyohei Fujio’s practice begins where the map falls silent. Rejecting the sterile precision of digital cartographies, he dismantles the city’s homogenized surface and exposes what’s beyond the maps: the unofficial orders and hidden cycles. These manifest in streets uncovered through collapsing walls, windows cutting through façades, banners concealing and prettifying construction sites, and undercurrents of informal economies that channel what the city wants shadowed.
Through this project, he tunes in to the local wayfinding culture in Türkiye, where the directions are stories, gestures, detours, and a chain of directions sending you from one doorstep to another. This network of local knowledge emerges as a quiet resistance to the formal prescriptions of modern urbanism.
In one such encounter, Fujio meets a çekçekçi—waste paper collector—and joins the labor. Gathers leftovers from waste systems and construction zones, assembles them into temporary structures to be dismantled, reused, and redistributed.
In Container with Hole #2, these interventions in Türkiye branch out to a book, and the book branches out to an archival exhibition. Fujio brings traces from his explorations into the space: a cardboard house that grows from a trash container, a photographic piece with openings into the landscape’s hidden layers, debris wrapped exposed in the fabric that once disguised it. All these materials are from the site, from the streets of Istanbul—where he cuts holes, flips the obvious, teases expectations and turns them into witty games.

【学外展覧会】
藤生恭平の実践は、地図における沈黙から始まる。都市空間を覆う均質な可視性を攪乱し、そこに潜む非公式の秩序と循環を露呈させる試みである。地図が指し示すのは、あくまで制度化された都市の表層に過ぎない。藤生が注視するのは、その陰で機能する別の層──崩壊しつつある建築の断片、仮設の宣伝バナーに覆われた建設現場、そして廃棄と再利用を反復するインフォーマルな経済の動線である。
また本プロジェクトにおいて藤生は、トルコにおける固有のナヴィゲーション文化と接続する。そこでは、方向は地図やデータではなく、身振りや語り、寄り道を含む身体的な伝達によって成立する。このローカルな知のネットワークは、近代都市計画の可視的秩序に対するオルタナティブとして現れる。
こうした現象に対する藤生の介入は、廃棄物回収者「チェッキチェッキ」への参加によって具体化される。彼らと同様に収集された廃材や段ボールは、仮設の構造体として組み上げられ、再び解体され、循環に戻される。
《Container with Hole #2》では、こうしたリサーチと実践の痕跡が、書籍と展示という二重のアーカイブへと展開される。会場には、ゴミ箱から生え出た段ボールの建物、風景に隠れたレイヤーを行き来する写真作品、かつて覆い隠されていた宣伝バナーに包まれた煉瓦が立ち現れる。いずれもイスタンブールの路上から持ち帰られた素材であり、都市の循環の痕跡をそのまま抱えている。藤生はこれらを通じ 、穴を開け、当たり前を裏返し、期待をずらしながら、都市の隠れた物語を軽やかな遊びに変換する。
