Event Description :
Anchored by drawings made with threads that melt when heated, this solo exhibition takes the concept of the “ritornello” in A Thousand Plateaus as its point of departure to examine the formation, release, and reconfiguration of territory.
【Statement】
When forceful words simplify the world and push someone outside, I turn my gaze toward that boundary. Using heat-melting threads, I repeatedly draw lines on the panels, trying to mark out a temporary place of belonging. There, a scene emerges in which the boundary between inside and outside begins to blur. Into that scene, a small refrain (ritornello) slowly weaves. This is an experiment in remaining with uncertainty, like keeping Ariadne’s thread in view even as it slowly dissolves. I hope it can offer a delicate opening for touching the unknowability of another.

熱で融解する糸を用いたドローイング作品を軸に、『千のプラトー』における「リトルネロ」の概念を出発点として、テリトリーの生成・解放・組み替えを考察する個展を開催します。
【ステイトメント】
強い言葉が世界を単純化し誰かを外へ追いやるとき、私はその境界に目を向けてみる。熱で融解する糸をたぐり、小さなリトルネロのように線を反復して、混沌の中に仮の居場所を立ち上げる。その温度は固まった輪郭をゆっくり溶かし、内と外のあいだに微かな開口が生まれてゆく。これは迷いにとどまる実験であり、アリアドネの糸を見つめながら溶かしていくようなこと。それを、他者の不可解さに触れうる微細な契機としてみたい。
