The Global Art Joint Project 2017
[Seeing Through the Garden – Perspectives of Nature from East and West]
In the joint classes instructors and students travel between Japan, Chicago, where they collaborate with their counterparts from top overseas institutions to carry out artistic research drawn from a variety of perspectives. As part of a socially-engaged art program, they will participate collaboratively in fieldwork, workshops, and site-specific art production. The resulting artworks are exhibited at international exhibitions.

シカゴ・ユニットの共同授業は、教職員と学生が日本とシカゴを行って来ますし、両国の文化の共通点や差異を学び、ユニトのテーマを糸口に社会参加を前に提 示 した フィールードワークやワー クショー ップ、スタジオ内外での作成、活動などを行うことで、それぞれが複合的な視野を広げその表現を新たにし、深め、発表することを目標にしています。
