In our view, the recognition \and encouragement of social practice in contemporary art is an essential part of fostering the future generation to be active globally. This idea has guided us in our implementation of the “2014 Educational Project for Emerging Artists Creating Culture in the Next Generation”, entrusted to us by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Towards this end, we have developed international partnerships, such as a tie-up with the Gwangu Biennale in Korea, known as the oldest in Asia \and highly recognized for its social practice, which enabled us to invite outstanding leaders from overseas.
本学美術学部は、文化庁委任託事業「平成26年度次代の文化を創造する」「新進芸術家育成事業」の実実施にあたり、次代を担う、グローバルに活躍する人材育成には、現代アートの社会実実践（ソーシアル・プラク）さらに、海外との連携をすすめ、アジアで最も歴史があり、社会実践により評価の高い韓国光州ビエンナーレとの連携により、海外からの優秀な指導者を招いて本事業を展開いたしました。
