Following our research activities in the Yonomori area of Tomioka, Fukushima, Nanami Akimoto and Garage will hold the “Yonomori Fire Burrow Festival”.
The area around Yonomori Station was designated as a “difficult-to-return zone” until 2023 due to decontamination efforts after the radioactive contamination caused by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and the subsequent nuclear accident. Even after the restriction was lifted, many buildings were demolished due to the earthquake damages as well as the prolonged evacuation. Today, much of the area has become vacant pieces of land.
In this land, we aim to design a setting that revives memories of everyday life and for it to become an opportunity for human activities to take root once again. It will be a festival where we dig a pit, gather around a fire, make sound, and dance.
【Information】
・Please use the parking area on the south side of the venue (the former Refre parking lot).
・We will gather around a fire for a small feast. Please bring something you’d like to eat or grill.
・Bringing your own camp chair or similar seating will help you enjoy the feast more comfortably.
・The evening can get quite cold, so please dress warmly.
・If a forest fire warning is issued on the day, only the Fire Welcoming Ceremony performance will take place.

この度、秋元菜々美とガラージュは、福島県富岡町夜の森地区でのリサーチ活動を経て、「夜の森 穴火祭り」を開催いたします。
夜ノ森駅周辺は、2011年の東日本大震災およびそれに伴う原発事故による放射性物質の除染のため、2023年まで帰宅困難区域となっていました。解除後も、地震による被害に加え、長期化した避難の影響により、多くの建物が解体され、現在はその大部分が更地となっています。

私たちはその場所で、これまでの暮らしの記憶を呼び起こしながら、人の営みが再び立ち上がる契機となる場の設計を試みます。穴を掘り、火を囲み、音を奏で、舞い踊るお祭りです。
【ご案内】
・駐車場は会場南側の敷地(旧リフレ駐車場)をご利用ください。
・火を囲んで宴をします。食べたいもの・焼きたいものをお持ちください。
・宴用に、キャンプ椅子などご持参いただけるとより快適にお過ごしいただけます。
・冷え込みますので、暖かい服装でお越しください。
・当日林野火災警報が発令された場合は、火迎え式のパフォーマンスのみ執り行います。
